Additional details: We are licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate weddings from two people to 100. The intimate Garden Room, splendid Drawing Room or classic Conservatory all perfect for ceremonies up to 30 people to The Coleridge Suite which seats up to 100 with a dance floor for the evening, or you may choose to dine in our stunning Signature Restaurant which can seat up to 80. The Wordsworth Gazebo is located in the beautiful gardens of the hotel, with the stunning mountains as the backdrop to your ceremony.
The Wordsworth is recommended by the Good Food Guide and has been awarded Rosettes by the AA for fine food placing our restaurant as one of the best in the Lake District. Our Head Chef uses the finest fresh local ingredients to create your wedding breakfast,and is available to discuss your menu with you. We are able to cater for all dietary requirements. We also have an extensive wine list and drinks menu that will suit every pocket and pallet! An evening buffet can be arranged for your guests, be they guests who could not attend the wedding breakfast or for your day guests later on in the evening.
We have an indoor heated swimming pool and whirlpool, sauna air-conditioned gym and Lime Beauty Spa which is run by Lisa Jayne. Directions by car: Located in the heart of Grasmere Village next door to St Oswald's church. From the south take junction 36 off the M6 motorway and follow signs for Winderemere/Ambleside. Go past Windermere and follow signs for Keswick along the A591. From the main A591 please turn left into the village at the roundabout at Dove Cottage.
