The Nuns garden with its two water features and a large magnolia tree providing welcome shade in the summertime, and is an idyllic space to hold a drinks reception while the Vine Room is being prepared for dinner. Through a wooden door another garden is discovered, with its sunken central lawn, mature fruit trees and multitude of scents. Herbaceous beds border the lawn filled with rosemary, lavender and bay leaf trees. Mistletoe entwines apple and plum trees' branches, and discreet lighting illuminates the foliage, while overhead spotlights make evening use of the garden possible. A small paved area provides the ideal space for musicians to serenade a drinks reception.
In the past various blessings have occurred in the sunken garden, after the Civil Ceremony of your Hampshire Wedding.
