Function Rooms
Goldings Suite & Conference Centre
This newly refurbished function suite is the largest of all of our function suites and is located adjacent to the main De Rougemont Manor, and is a totally separate building, complete with its own catering facilities, bars, toilet, reception and ancillaries. The Goldings Suite is a superb and unique setting for large functions of all kinds. We specialise in wedding receptions, dinner dances, Masonic and Round Table events, and during the week conferences and exhibitions.
During the recent refurbishment, this function suite was totally upgraded in all areas, from the bars all the way through to the reception and foyer areas, this suite is fully adaptable and makes a superb venue for wedding receptions and private functions, far away and independent from the busy main hotel buildings. It has been tastefully designed and decorated but has retained all of its stunning original features, such as the huge Victorian roof light.
Champers Suite
The Beauty of the Champers Suite cannot be fully appreciated unless you see it personally. This large suite, which at various times in its long history has been the in-house chapel and the billiards room, is decorated to a very high standard and following our company policy, as many as possible of the original features are left untouched. The bar area is suitably separated by arches and is tastefully furnished with an open coal fire.
The Champers Suite is situated in the main hotel and is very popular for seminars and business meetings as well as weddings and private functions.
Garden Lounge
The Garden Lounge is located adjacent to the main hotel reception and was originally the De Rougemont families’ drawing room; it retains its Adams style fireplace and ornate walls and ceiling and makes a stunning venue for all types of small to medium sized functions.
Study Suite
The Study Suite is probably the most ornate suite in the whole of the De Rougemont Manor complex and is completely original. The suite is decorated in a period manner, the walls being covered with carved antique mahogany panelling, which also partly covers the ceiling. The panelling compliments the carved period fireplace and ornate drinks bar.
The Study Suite is generally used for small business functions of up to 20 persons, company interviews and small private dinner parties seating up to 18 guests. The Study Suite gained its name from the founding family owners who used it as a study and office. It is said that Major General Cecil De Rougemont liked nothing better than to sit in this study browsing through the society column of The Times.
