The Fennes is a fine Georgian country house set in 100 acres of idyllic countryside, yet only an hour from London.

The Manor House offers an elegant entrance hall and reception rooms, which lead on to our beautiful silk-lined pavilion and banqueting hall. These larger rooms are romantically lit with chandeliers and wall sconces and can be heated or air-conditioned depending on weather conditions.

The Fennes is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies, however, should you be considering a church wedding, the parish church of St Mary's is just a mile away in Bocking Village.

Our catering reputation is the envy of other establishments, however we know that some weddings require flexibility on this front which is why we are happy to open our venue to outside caterers if your wedding requires a more specialised menu, for religious or cultural reasons.

By Train-Braintree station is in the town centre from where we are a short taxi ride away

By Plane- We are about 15 miles from London Stansted airport

Directions by car:
From M11- Exit at Junction 8a and follow signs for A120 to Colchester. On the outskirts of Braintree (Freeport Designer Village Roundabout) take 2nd Exit signed A131 Sudbury. At 2nd & 3rd Roundabout take second exit signed A131 Sudbury. Take 1st left into Church Street, and then 4th right into Fennes Road. The Fennes is 1 mile down the country road
