Additional details:
Licensed ceremony rooms include the beautifully ornate Drawing Room and elegant Library, which provide exquisite settings for ceremonies with up to 80 guests. Alternatively, you may prefer the intimacy of the Small Dining Room or Boudoir, which are ideal for ceremonies with up to 35 guests. There are no minimum number requirements.
Seated reception meals are taken in the lavish Banqueting Room, and evening parties and buffets are held in the Blue Room and Boudoir.
We provide a list of approved contractors, giving you choice and flexibility for your special day.

Directions by public transport:
The nearest train station is Chelmsford, approximately 10 minutes from the house by taxi.
The number 351 First bus service, Chelmsford - Brentwood, runs past the house hourly except on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Directions by car:
Hylands is located near Chelmsford, Essex.
Take junction 28 from the M25, onto the A12 and then exit at junction 15, following the
signposts for Hylands. There are two road entrances from the A414. Visitors to Hylands House should ensure that they use the entrance from the dual carriageway, signposted for the house, and park in the car park next to the House.
Gate closing times are displayed at both entrances. After the gates are locked there is no arrangement for the release of vehicles left within the Park until 7.30am the following day.
