Pictures of: Mellington Hall Hotel
The present Hall was built in the Gothic revivalist style; highly fashionable amongst the Victorian elite, and the grounds were laid out by Joseph Paxton, of Chatsworth and Crystal Palace fame. The crest above the entrance belongs to the Heap family, owners of the hall from 1903 to 1957. The motto translates as ‘Peace and Harmony’, an appropriate testimony to the Mellington Hall Hotel of today.
