The Old Market -
Built in 1828 by the renowned architect Charles Busby, The Old Market is a Grade II listed building in the heart of Brunswick Town, an area of splendid Regency architecture in the City Centre. It has been beautifully restored as the result of an award from the National Lottery in 1997 and grateful financial support from English Heritage and Brighton & Hove Council. The Old Market is now a centre for the arts, education and the community and was opened in May 1999 by HRH The Duke of Kent. The venue is located between the seafront and Western Road with the grandest hotels and Britain’s most famous beach just a pebble’s throw away. |
