This week’s Real Wedding features the lovely Rachel and Paul who chose the stunning Moor Hall Hotel & Spa for the venue of their big day in May this year – all captured on camera by the talented Sally Wood Photography.
Having been together for over a decade since they met at a friend’s house party, Paul popped the question while the couple were on a relaxing break one weekend in Coventry. He knelt down on one knee in a beautiful garden, asked her the magical “will you…?” and Rachel couldn’t say no!
The couple had their eyes firmly fixed on Moor Hall as their perfect venue, as they’d stayed there a few years beforehand and they’d always known it was where they wanted to celebrate their marriage one day.
From the stunning drive up to the hotel itself to the immaculately manicured grounds – Moor Hall ticked all the right boxes for them. There was definitely no question about it being their wedding venue. And you can see why, can’t you?!
Every part of their day was described by them as amazing. They had absolutely perfect summer weather, and they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest, who helped them celebrate in style!
While planning their wedding, Rachel said she wanted to stay as traditional as possible but also wanted to add a little bit of “them” into the theme too. Elements of both their personalities and interests were featured throughout the day.
Rachel’s glittering persona shone through in the jewels, pretty candle holders, and twinkling tree centrepieces; while Paul’s love of Avengers fought alongside, being the motif on the table plan, place names and even their cake!
Rachel and Paul also had some lovely surprise elements on their big day. The ceremony room was decorated with gorgeous floral arches and the wedding team had scattered flowers along the aisle. They (bravely) even saved seeing their amazing Avengers wedding cake until the actual day!
The food was exquisite and Rachel and Paul were so pleased when their guests commented on how much they had enjoyed it. Again, they kept it traditional with their fayre, opting for duck croquettes starters, followed by a palette cleansing blood orange sorbet. Guests were treated to a main course of corn-fed chicken, dauphinoise potatoes and vegetables, and then for dessert they devoured sticky toffee pudding!
The newlyweds were so impressed with the team at Moor Hall. “We can’t praise the staff enough,” Rachel says. From meeting the wedding planner – who was on hand right up to the wedding – to the staff on the night before and the actual day who’s service was outstanding.
“Nothing was too much for them and they went out of their way to ensure we all had the day we had always dreamed of,” says the bride.
Mr and Mrs Jarrett can’t recommend Moor Hall enough! It is an incredibly stunning place in every way possible, and they said that they’d received such a high amount of lovely comments and feedback from their wedding guests, it made it obvious to them that they’d made the right choice.
Why not book a viewing of this beautiful country house venue, set in extensive grounds with a unique sunken garden perfect for those breath-taking photos every couple dreams of?
