King William III is known to have visited and, from 1912 onwards, the house was owned by Sir Mortimer Singer, a wealthy member of the Singer sewing machine family. These days the mansion house, rooms and every detail can be tailored entirely around you. Whether it's your wedding reception, your ceremony or both, we'll make sure your day is as individual, exciting and memorable as you have always dreamed. Following our restoration, Milton Hill House now sparkles like never before, offering a wonderful combination of the classic and the contemporary, with space, style and flexibility in mind. The Lilac Suite is ideal for an intimate gathering of up to 60 guests, alternatively the Wisteria Suite is ideal for a wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests. If you’ve always imagined an outdoor wedding then look no further than our licensed pergola. Family and friends can mingle on the lawn and watch the ceremony with a backdrop of the Italian garden. The grounds make a beautiful setting for your photographs. While you capture the moment, we’ll host your drinks reception and keep the conversation flowing with tall Pimms or sparkling Kir Royales as your guests enjoy a string quartet – or even a steel band.
