About Woodhorn Museum wedding venue

Your wedding day should be the most special, memorable day of your life, so shouldn’t you chose a venue that is extraordinary too?
Here at Woodhorn, you can exchange your vows in the intimate surroundings of one of the Winding House function rooms, sign the register on the colliery manager’s desk and then celebrate in our light and airy top floor room with its fabulous views across the site, the park and beyond.
We can also offer you the Workshop Galleries for your wedding. A completely self-contained and versatile space offering you total flexibility so you can transform it into your dream space.
Your guests will be fascinated by the amazing buildings of this former colliery, and the stunning architecture including the original pit wheels and the site offers you a unique backdrop for your wedding photographs.
There are some special extras too: visit the fascinating Coal Town exhibition, see for yourself the wonderful Pitmen Painters' art collection, or take a trip on the narrow gauge railway through the delightful country park.
Of course we can offer a range of packages to suit your budget, so why don’t you get in touch now. Our co-ordinator will be delighted to show you around so you can see just how special our facilities are.
