About Moorcock Inn wedding venue

The stunning gardens surrounding the majestic building compliment the panoramic views of the Ribble Valley. Standing on the Fell above the village of Waddington, the Moorcock Inn has become renowned for its traditional, locally-sourced produce, supplied whenever possible by the family farm in Newton-by-Bowland.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our beautiful surroundings and have all the facilities required to accommodate all your guests. With its stylish décor and air conditioning, the Ballroom offers formal seating for approximately 120 guests for the Wedding Breakfast and 200 guests for the Evening Reception, with a private licensed bar until 1.00am. In terms of the food on offer we have splendid set menus, excellent carved or finger buffets and of course, you are also able to select your own dishes to create your own bespoke wedding menu.

Additional details:

The cosy oak-panelled bar is eclectically furnished with relaxing leather sofas and more formal dining all warmed in those winter months by a blazing, open fire. In addition, there are two dining rooms and a splendid domed ballroom that can accommodate up to 200 guests, with its very own large, private bar.
We recommend you come in and talk to our dedicated Wedding team in order to find out exactly how good you wedding day could be.

Directions to Moorcock Inn

Directions by car:

The Moorock Inn is 2 miles out of the village of Waddington, which is itself about 1 1/2 miles from Clitheroe in North Lancashire.

If you've got the use of a Satnav then just plug in the post code BB7 3AA. If not, then follow the directions below or use a trusty old map!

Travelling from the south, take the M6 North, turning off at Junction 31 and heading towards Clitheroe on the A59. Clitheroe's approximately 20 minutes along the A59. Once you've reached the turn off for Clitheroe, continue towards the town. Once you reach the centre, follow signs for Waddington. Once in Waddington, continue straight through the village on the main road and follow signs for Newton and Slaidburn. The Moorock Inn is on the left hand side approximately 2 miles out of Waddington.

Travelling from the North, the best way is still off the A59 either by travelling down the M6 to junction 31 or down the A1 to the A61 turn off.

Directions by public transport:

Take the train or bus to Clitheroe. Buses are available to get you to Waddington however you'd need to get a taxi from there to the hotel as it's approximately 2 miles out of Waddington. It would be preferably to take a taxi directly from Clitheroe. This would cost little more than £5 and taxis can be flagged down directly outside of the train station.
