Our stylish Georgian mansion, with its stunning views over the lake and rolling Devon countryside, makes for the perfect setting for any wedding celebration and reception, whether it’s an extravagant event or a simple, intimate gathering. We will provide exclusive use of all of the rooms booked within the front of the house for the duration of your Ceremony or reception and evening function. You and your guests will be able to enjoy the beauty of our surrounding gardens, arboretum and lake. Whatever the time of year, our grounds always look spectacular.
We are licensed to hold Civil Marriage, Civil Partnership, Naming, Renewal of Vows and Commitment Ceremonies for up to 75 guests
We have a selection of elegantly furnished rooms and can offer either with or without a reception to follow in keeping with your desires
We would be delighted to help you chose a special menu to match your occasion – our kitchens use local, organic and Fair Trade produce wherever possible
We will provide white table linen (coloured linen is also available) as well as the use of a cake table and silver knife
We will have a bar, available for your exclusive use, open until 12pm (extensions are available subject to arrangement)
We can accommodate up to 100 people within the House for an evening function. A stage and/or dance floor can be provided
Our grounds can be hired for marquee erection
Fireworks are permitted by the lake edge

Leave the M5 at Junction 30 and take the A376 (signposted Exmouth, Sidmouth and Bicton Park). At the first roundabout take the second exit, the A3052 (signposted Seaton, Sidmouth and Bicton Park) and continue for about eight miles until you descend a steep hill and reach the outskirts of the village of Newton Poppleford. At the first mini roundabout, turn right onto Exmouth Road (the B3178, signposted Exmouth and Bicton Park). After two miles, you will arrive at Bicton College main entrance on the right hand side, following a sharp right-hand bend and just before Bicton Park. Proceed through the arched gatehouse and up the avenue towards the main house. There is ample car parking at the top of the drive, and it’s all free! You will see signs for Reception - located through the main doors of the house.
Directions by public transport:
Stagecoach service 157 (Exmouth – Budleigh Salterton – Bicton College – Sidmouth) drops you at the end of the drive where you get to enjoy a ten minute walk up the monkey puzzle drive. This services runs on the hour throughout the day.
Stagecoach service 57C (Exeter – Exmouth – Budleigh Salterton – Bicton College) continues up the drive and stops outside Bicton College’s Learning Resource Centre. This service operates in the morning and late afternoon only, to coincide with the start and end of the college day.
