Middlethorpe Hall is well known for its comfortable, luxurious atmosphere and the hotel's individual guest rooms and cottage suites are no exception.
The comfortable and fully equipped bedrooms, each decorated individually, are both in the house and in the attractively restored 18th century courtyard next to it. There are several room types ranging from single rooms to a deluxe suite in the main house. Ten of the rooms are in the main house, seventeen in the 18th Century classical courtyard, as well as a garden suite and two suites in an adjacent cottage.
Middlethorpe Hall provides a magnificent setting for weddings and receptions, standing in 20 acres of gardens and parkland, which include a fragrant rose and lavender garden a fascinating white garden, a restored 18th century Dovecote and a walled garden.
We are able to offer a variety of wedding packages from the smaller, more intimate wedding party using our Yellow Room over looking the south lawns to a Civil Ceremony in the Barlow Room, followed by wedding breakfast in the Grill Room.
The imaginatively restored 18th century Barlow Room, (named after one of the famous families associated with Middlethorpe Hall) situated fifty yards from the main house, is licensed for marriage ceremonies and is capable of hosting up to fifty-six people. The Dovecote located in the gardens or the South Terrace is the perfect setting for drink receptions (weather permitting). The Grill Room which has its own private sitting room is the ideal venue for wedding breakfasts and receptions and is also licensed for marriage ceremonies.
