About Lantallack wedding venue

Lantallack is a magical wedding venue in the heart of south east Cornwall, close to the Tamar Valley and 20 minutes from Plymouth. Exclusively yours for a whole weekend, it’s a place for the free spirited, for those who yearn something different and special; with stunning views across undulating countryside and wooded valleys, big open skies and unforgettable sunsets it is a secret wedding venue just waiting to be discovered.

From a traditional wedding at a local medieval church to an informal civil ceremony on site, Lantallack is an unusual wedding venue and an idyllic place in which to create your perfect country wedding. You can get married in our unique historic 17th century Cart Barn or outside on the beautiful Wisteria Walk. Lantallack allows you the freedom to create your own country wedding. The Lawn Terrace is perfect for a traditional Cornish wedding where you can have a beautiful clear-span marquee for up to 150 people. It is a stunning site with glorious views and the sun all day.

If the idea of getting married with a hundred people around you is a daunting prospect, then perhaps a small and intimate wedding at Lantallack is just the thing for you. Without the need, or expense, of a marquee, you can hold your ceremony, with up to 30 guests, either inside the lovely old 17th century Cart Barn adjacent to the pool terrace or under the canopy of Wisteria Walk, overlooking stunning views of the surrounding Cornish countryside.

Steeped in history, this Grade II listed Georgian farm is a dream wedding location and offers couples something unique and extra for their special day. With its apple orchards, rolling fields, beautiful lawns, majestic old beech trees and original 40 acre medieval field pattern, it is a haven of tranquillity. During your exclusive use of Lantallack, whether you wish to laze in our outdoor heated swimming pool, play croquet on the lawn, wander through the fields or sit on the swing and watch the sun go down, your experience of this magical place will be unforgettably yours.

A spectacular wedding venue and dating back to 1327, Lantallack lies adjacent to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the south east Cornish coast with its South West Coast Path and Whitsand Bay. From the Rame Peninsula you can glimpse the fishing villages of Looe, Cawsand and Kingsand, whilst just a little further along the coast you will find the Daphne du Maurier haunts of Polruan, Fowey, Bodinnick and Menabilly. With south Devon just a short car ride across the Tamar Bridge, the historic Mount Edgcumbe and Plymouth Sound can be found with Newton Ferrers and Burgh Island just around the corner. After experiencing your wedding of a lifetime, make your honeymoon just as special by flying from Penzance to the beautiful island of Tresco on the Isles of Scilly or combine it with the zany Port Eliot Festival.

Lantallack has a 5 star Gold Award and Fine Breakfast Award from Visit Britain and with its luxury beds and cottages offers extremely comfortable accommodation for 12. The bridal suite, Polly’s Bower, is a wonderfully luxurious space in which brides can get ready and enjoy a massage on the eve of their special day, with Pippin Cottage just across the lawn for close family or the bridesmaids and best man! Power showers, big baths and fabulous bespoke kitchens to make this comfortable, relaxed unique wedding venue one of Cornwall’s best kept secrets.

With a fabulous choice of caterers from our fantastic contacts list, you can choose a banquet, buffet, barbeque or hog roast in a magnificent marquee on the Lawn Terrace or a tipi in the Hay Meadow. Just let your imagination run wild to produce a wedding tailored to the way you want it in a fabulously romantic location. Lantallack is Cornish for hills and valleys and is a truly special and magical wedding venue.

If you want something different from the traditional church, civil partnership wedding ceremony and legal marriage service, then why not try a Celtic wedding? Other ceremonies to consider might include humanistic weddings, medieval weddings, ethnic weddings, historic weddings or anniversary weddings. Lantallack will provide a unique and magical setting to tie the knot.
