About Llancayo House wedding venue

Llancayo House is a Grade II Listed Georgian Mansion, set in silverne surroundings in its own grounds, including a spinney, an orchard and a 5 acre paddock. The house itself was built by Edward Berry, a silk and velvet merchant, at the beginning of the 19th Century, and was originally part of a 312 acre estate. During World War II, it was used as a convalescent hospital for wounded soldiers. The house has been owned by the Jarvie family since the 1950s, who have recently completely renovated it to operate an independent family business.

Our ground floor has three reception rooms, two of which can be opened up into a large 40 foot room which will accommodate up to 80 seated guests in theatre style. Llancayo House will be fully licensed for civil ceremonies in time for the 2010 weddings season onwards. We offer exclusive hire of the house and grounds for your wedding party, including 10 room’s accommodation and use of our large modern kitchen for catering facilities. Secure, floodlit parking is available free of charge.

Our 5-acre paddock which adjoins the lawns makes Llancayo House the ideal venue for a spectacular marquee wedding. Any size of marquee can be easily accommodated, so there is no limit to the number of reception guests. We have teamed up with County Marquees and a number of other high quality local wedding service providers, all of whom will give special discounted rates for weddings at Llancayo House. It is our aim to ensure that your big day goes off in style.
