Burythorpe House is an enchanting wedding venue, it holds years of history and lies in a beautiful setting providing an idyllic back drop.

For intimate gatherings then our restaurant is the perfect setting for your magical day. Our restaurant is intimate and atmospheric, with oak paneling and contemporary artworks and can cater for 35 for your wedding breakfast

For larger marquee weddings up to 200, our lawn provides a perfect location. This gives you the flexibility in terms of number of guests and allows a free range in terms of themes or decorations.

Every wedding is unique; this is the reason why you will not see any set prices. You’re day is set around your budget, taste and wishes to make it as personal as can be. Burythorpe House is yours for the day with exclusive use giving you and your guest’s complete privacy

Directions by car:

Burythorpe House is set on the edge of the small village of Burythorpe, some 5 miles from Malton and 18 from York.

By Road from the North:

A1 South
A61 to Thirsk then follow signs towards Malton (A170)
Malton, across traffic lights and river signed Norton
Turn right after level crossing signed Stamford Bridge
2 miles out of town turn left signed Burythorpe
Straight over at cross roads, following signs for 1 mile
Hotel is on right before village

By Road from the South:

M1 North
A64 towards and past York, follow signs for East Coast (Scarborough)
Turn right off dual carriageway down hill to Kirkham Priory
Sharp left up steep hill, signed Langton
Follow Langton signs for 3 miles until Burythorpe signs
Follow Burythorpe signs for 1 mile
Hotel is on right before village

You can also reach Burythorpe by rail to Malton station, where there is a taxi rank for the 10-minute drive. You can hire cars from York station
