Russell's restaurant is situated in one of the finest old buildings in Chelmsford.
The heart of the restaurant is a magnificent timbered barn. Originally built in 1372 it is listed as being of architectural and historical importance and is Grade 2 listed.
As you walk in the restaurant the spectacular high ceiling and the gallery overlooking the main dining area creates a wonderful dramatic impression as you enter a world of elegance and fine food.
A superb setting for a wedding reception, have the whole restaurant for your wedding celebration, including a separate room for the disco.
This enables all your guests, whether dancing or talking, to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Barry Watson, proprietor of Russells and his Team, appreciates the importance of a wedding celebration and he or his Wedding coordinator Robert, will spend as much time as necessary with you to ensure that you are happy with the arrangements and feel confident that everything will run smoothly.
Together with the Head Chef, Barry or Robert will devise menus that suit your budget and taste, catering for individual preferences too. Wedding Breakfast, sit down meals for up to 90 with waiter service, delicious buffets with hot and cold food served on magnificent platters, whatever you envisage for your special day, the team at Russells will certainly do their best to make what you imagine a reality.

From Chelmsford town centre, at the Army & Navy take the 3rd exit called Baddow Road, follow this road straight, at the 1st mini roundabout go straight over, continue straight on. Then at the 2nd mini roundabout bare left on to Maldon Road, at the top of the hill take the 1st right in The Causeway, then take 2nd left into The Chase, this will take you into the Car Park
From the A12 take Junction 17, for the A1114, come down the this road and take the slip road marked Great Baddow and Sandon, follow this slip road round to the left and join Church Street. Continue on this road as you pass the Church and the follow the road as it bends round to the right, take the first right called Pump Hill then at the top of the hill, take 2nd right into The Chase, this will take you in to the Car Park.
