At the Commodore Hotel we believe that every wedding is unique, that is why we have a dedicated wedding co-ordinator on hand from the start to help you plan every aspect of your day, leaving you and your partner free to relax and enjoy your special day. By, "your special day" we mean it; in order that we can focus all the necessary attention, we only allow one bride per day in the hotel.
Whether you'd like an intimate gathering, a civil ceremony or a traditional wedding breakfast the Commodore Hotel is the perfect venue. from our lavishly appointed ballroom which can cater for up to 160 guests for a sit down banquet to the cedar room which is suitable for up to 45 people, we can offer an environment of unassuming elegance, relaxation and sophistication.

We are situated just off the A4042 between Pontypool and Newport. Convenient for junction 25/26 off the M4.
The M4 motorway, the main east - west route in the southern part of the UK, skirts the city providing fast access to London and the South East. There are motorway connections to the South West and Midlands within easy reach. Some journey times from Newport by road:

The M4 between England and Wales crosses the Severn Bridge toll road. If you are travelling by car, you'll need to have some UK currency in order to pay the toll as only cash payments are accepted. More information, including the current toll rates, can be found on the Severn Bridge website.

Travelling by coach
The National Express coach service links Newport to London and other major UK towns and cities.
Travelling by Train
There are high speed rail links between Cwmbran and many of the major UK cities. London is less than 2 hours away by train, with day-time departures at half hourly intervals. There are also frequent trains between Cardiff and Newport at regular 30 minute intervals throughout the day. See National Rail Enquiries for further information.
For international visitors, Eurostar rail service links London to Paris and Brussels. Motorists can travel to the UK from France using the Eurotunnel service.
Cardiff Wales International Airport (CWL) and Bristol International Airport (BRS) are equidistant from the city of Newport, each being around forty to fifty minutes travel time away from The Commodore Hotel itself.
