The venue is situated in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet is near Bath and Bristol and is easily accessible from the M4. It is exclusively yours for the day.
Greet your guests for a celebratory drink on the terrace by the 18th Century orangery. From there your guests can enjoy the views over the Hamswell Valley with the Westbury white horse in the distance. Your guests can explore the walled gardens with its pergola and terraced herb garden before moving to the marquee for the wedding breakfast.

Directions to Hamswell House

Directions by car:

From the M4
Take exit 18, signposted Bath; go along the A46 towards Bath for five miles until you reach the roundabout with the A420. Take the third turning off the roundabout, the A420 towards Bristol. Go along the A420 for about half a mile, and then take the first turning on your left, signposted Hamswell. After a quarter of the mile the entrance to the drive is on the left, set back from the road. Where the drive divides, take the right hand fork, through the white gates.

From Bath via the A46
Take the A46 out of Bath towards Stroud and the M4 until you reach the roundabout with the A420. Turn left on the A420 towards Bristol. Go along the A420 for about half a mile, and then take the first turning on your left, signposted Hamswell. After a quarter of the mile the entrance to the drive is on the left, set back from the road. Where the drive divides, take the right hand fork, through the white gates.

From Bath via Lansdown
Go up Lansdown Hill, pass the race course on your left and follow the road down the hill. Where the road veers sharply to the left after a lodge house, there is a road to the right marked Hamswell and M4. Turn right onto this road. Ignore the turning after a quarter of a mile to ‘Lower Hamswell’. Follow the road for about two miles. The entrance to the drive to Hamswell House is on the right, set back from the road, opposite a small house with a wooden fence. Where the drive divides, take the right hand fork, through the white gates.

From Bristol
Take the M32 onto the M4, head down to exit 18 and proceed as above.
Alternatively, take the A420 out of Bristol. After you pass through Wick, climb up the hill and take the turning to the right opposite the picnic area signposted Hamswell. After a quarter of the mile the entrance to the drive is on the left, set back from the road. Where the drive divides, take the right hand fork, through the white gates.
