About Lewtrenchard Manor wedding venue

Lewtrenchard Manor is a Grade II listed Jacobean-style manor house close to Dartmoor National Park and only an hour’s drive from the Eden project and only 30 minutes from Exeter. The house dates back to the Doomsday Book and is mentioned in documents during the reign of Henry III whilst in the possession of the Trenchard family.

The house, steeped in history, has exceptional plaster ceilings, oak panelling, an oak staircase, magnificent open fireplaces and very light spacious bedrooms, each with its very own unique character. The impressive gardens, part designed by Gertrude Jekyll and featuring streams, ponds and fountains, are now part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Lewtrenchard provides a truly idyllic setting for a wedding or honeymoon with its stunning location and views over the wooded lake and banks of the River Lew flowing through the estate. Exclusive use of the hotel for such a unique occasion means the ultimate in exclusive privacy and unrivalled flexibility, with dedicated staff on hand to arrange everything you need.
