Stoke Hall's unique location, landscaped grounds, secret garden and beautiful interior make it the most stylish venue in the East Midlands.
Civil ceremonies or partnerships for up to 100 guests can take place in the bright and cheerful Orangery flooded with natural sunlight, the Grand Reception Hall with its high glass cupola, the more intimate Lord Bromley Study or the richly decorated Old Library. If you are thinking of a wedding on the stairs, our 360 degree cantilevered stairway is perfect for a romantic ceremony and for your photography afterwards.
All four rooms are licensed for ceremonies and can be adapted to your individual requirements, from casual to more traditionally formal. Private dressing rooms are also available before the ceremony.
The enchanting Secret Garden with its exotic plants, palm trees, bamboos and central fountain is available for your wedding day photography, relaxation and enjoyment.
Stoke Hall is owned by Bryan and Diane Ansell who will be delighted to arrange your private viewing and accompany you on a tour of the Regency Hall and garden.
Situated in open countryside almost a mile outside the village of East Stoke and approximately four miles from the medieval town of Newark-on-Trent, Stoke Hall is approached by a pleasant country lane and then by a long dramatic drive. Majestic Redwoods rise above you and the ancient Sweet Chestnut is thought to be around four hundred years old. Arriving at this magnificent Grade II listed building, you enter directly into the Grand Reception Hall with its towering atrium and three hundred and sixty degree cantilevered staircase.
The perfect start to your exclusive wedding ceremony.
Conveniently situated between the A1 and M1, the dualling of the A46 makes Stoke Hall ideally placed to serve the counties of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Yorkshire. Newark's high speed train service to London Kings Cross only takes an hour and twenty minutes.
"Rebekah and I would like to thank you for your amazing efforts in helping to make our wedding so beautiful and run so smoothly" Mr G Oliver.
"From the moment we saw Stoke Hall we were quite certain it would provide just the right atmosphere for their wedding day" Mr & Mrs J Wilmington.
East Stoke is situated on the A46 four miles west of Newark, thirty one miles east of Leicester and seventeen miles from Nottingham. At the only crossroads in the middle of East Stoke turn into School Lane opposite the Mou'chak Indian restaurant which will be a right turn if you are coming from Newark and a left turn from the Leicester or Nottingham direction. Stay on that road which turns into Church Lane. Go straight out of the village and you will soon see Stoke Hall across the fields to your right.
