About Malmesbury Town Hall wedding venue

Malmesbury Town Hall dates back in parts, to 1846, with a history of uses that include a Wesleyan chapel, the Town's fire station, court and assembly hall. In recent years Malmesbury Town Hall has seen a £1.3m refurbishment to deliver what you see today, a vibrant and conveniently located building at the heart of beautiful Malmesbury.

Our wedding and civil partnership package includes two planning meetings with our Events Manager in the lead up to your wedding, to take some of the strain off you and to help you organise your dream day to your specifications.
Our Events Manager will also act as the front of house manager for your day to ensure that things run smoothly.
Our Events Manager can advise you as to local suppliers and caterers, the running order of the day, the Wedding Breakfast table lay out and the seating plan.
Included within the package is the setting up for your Wedding Breakfast to include all of the equipment you may require for your Wedding Breakfast including tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, tablecloths and napkins. This does not include chair covers or the fitting of chair covers, cake knife and stand, decorations or flowers, table stands or sprinkles. If you would like to provide your own cake knife and stand, decorations, sprinkles or flowers and table stands we will set them out to your specification.
The Wedding package gives you and your guest’s exclusive use of the first and second floors throughout the Town Hall from 1pm on the day of your ceremony to 1am the following morning.
A complimentary glass of chilled sparkling wine or fruit juice is included within the package to welcome up to 150 guests on arrival into the Town Hall.
Malmesbury Town Hall offers a fully licensed venue, meaning you can offer your guests a pay bar should you choose or supply your own alcohol for both your wedding breakfast and evening celebration. We do not charge a corkage fee nor do we levy any charges on your caterer or bar.

Directions by car:

Malmesbury is perfectly located at the southern boundary to the Cotswolds with great transport links to the West, East, Midlands and North West.
Malmesbury is just 35 minutes drive from the historic spa city of Bath, 45 minutes from Bristol, and 1 hour from both Cardiff and Bristol International Airports. Swindon is but a 20 minute drive away and the Cotswolds, well, they're on our doorstep!
If travelling to Malmesbury by car from south of Malmesbury, take the M4 to Junction 17 and then head north on the A429 for five miles. Take the first exit on the roundabout towards the Town Centre. Follow the road over the river and up the High Street. At the top of the High Street turn right into Oxford Street. At the end of Oxford Street turn right into Cross Hayes. The Town Hall and Tourist Information Centre is on your right. Short stay parking is available within Cross Hayes.

If travelling to Malmesbury by car from north of Malmesbury, head towards Cirencester, then follow the A433 out of Cirencester towards Tetbury. After passing the Royal Veterinary College on the outskirts of Cirencester, look out for and then take the left turn onto the A429 towards Kemble, Crudwell and Malmesbury. Follow the A429 through Kemble and then Crudwell and on towards the outskirts of Malmesbury. At the roundabout take the third exit towards the Town Centre. Following this road will lead you up to Cross Hayes. The Town Hall and Tourist Information Centre is on your right. Short stay car parking is available within Cross Hayes.
