About Cuddystone Hall wedding venue

Imagine 12,000 acres of the most stunning scenery in Northumberland and a venue that is all your own.

A charming, romantic and unusual wedding venue, Cuddystone Hall stands completely alone surrounded by hills in the heart of the beautiful, remote College Valley. It is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and if hired will be used exclusively by you making it a very private day.

We provide the magnificent setting; the rest is up to you. This means you can have YOUR perfect wedding day - one that is completely unique and special to you on the budget you want.

It is the ideal place to create the event YOU want; whether it’s a classy, romantic wedding, where guests drink champagne while taking in the majestic hills, or a barbeque/picnic where children play by the stream and on their bikes. If you yearn to have your dog as your bridesmaid or have a bouncy castle and welly-throwing competition, the hall allows you the freedom to do that. Whatever it is, it will be the occasion no-one forgets for all the right reasons.

Facilities
Maximum capacity for the hall is 200. 80 can comfortably sit down for a meal and 120 can sit when the hall is set out in rows with an aisle down the middle. It has large windows allowing you to enjoy the spectacular views and with the newly stripped and varnished floor, it is exceptionally light.

It has a fully equipped kitchen with large catering cooker, dishwasher and urn.
There are place settings for 80 people (large plate, side plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon, cup and saucer) and 120 wine glasses.

There is a stage large enough for a band and separate ladies, gents and disabled toilets.

Adjacent to the hall is a large, flat area to accommodate a marquee and ample parking.

Disabled Access.
We are experienced in organising events at Cuddystone Hall and are more than happy to give you advice and recommend suppliers should you require it.

Location: North Northumberland within the Northumberland National Park, on the border between England and Scotland. 11 miles from Wooler so although it feels remote is relatively near civilisation!

The charge for use of the hall for weddings is £600 allowing for a day (or often a few days) to decorate/set up etc beforehand, a day for the wedding and a day for clearing up the following day. There is an additional £100 deposit requested at the time of booking which will be returned after the event providing it goes ahead and there is no damage.

Accommodation
In addition to the hall there are four lovely, private and very comfortable holiday houses, two bed and breakfasts and a youth hostel in the valley so your family and friends can stay here with you.

If you are interested in Cuddystone Hall, please get in touch, I would be happy to show you around or answer any questions you may have. College Valley is a very special place - a hidden gem and definately worth a look!
