About OldCastle Weddings wedding venue

OldCastle is a striking Grade II Listed estate, which dates back to the 15th century and is believed to have been the original Colwall village settlement. Set in 50 acres at the foothills of Malvern, it still very much retains all the beauty and charm of its day.

The house has strong cultural and royal ties that have existed throughout its history. It is believed that Shakespeare’s protagonist Falstaff was based on Sir John Oldcastle; the Yeoman and famed former owner of OldCastle.

The current owners are lovers of architecture and in more recent years have carefully enhanced and repaired the house, which now offers visitors a taste of British history with a modern twist. Milk barns and cider mills have been respectfully transformed with shards of glass and streamline carvings. This house is a destination but also retains the feeling of a home still very much loved by the family living there.

OldCastle also has its enchanting lake, the ideal backdrop for those perfectly adoring wedding photos, or a beautiful summer wedding.

There is a marquee which can adjoin the Orangery; sharing the views and absorbing the atmosphere, up to 260 guests can enjoy this space.

The re-instated original lake, filled with water from the World famous Natural Malvern Springs, is the resting place of the OldCastle Fort according to local legend.

The house and grounds are available to hire exclusively, to give the bride and groom the freedom to host their dream wedding.

The exclusivity of OldCastle allows us to work with you to create the perfect dining experience for your Wedding without compromise.
