About Latimer Place wedding venue

Arriving at Latimer Place is just the beginning of the experience: weaving through the historic Latimer Village, past acres of unspoilt countryside and up the magnificent tree-lined driveway.

This home was always intended for special occasions and impressive celebrations. Owned by the Cavendish family from 1615 until after World War II, the building has welcomed many of the nation’s most distinguished names including Charles I and II. The house you see today was built in 1836 and recent restoration work blends together the historic charm and those all-important modern touches.

Whether it’s your reception, your ceremony or both, we’ll make sure your day is as individual, exciting and memorable as you have always dreamed.

You no doubt have your own ideas about your special day, from the classic and traditional to the creative and quirky. If you are looking for inspiration, we can provide plenty of suggestions, or you’re welcome to take the lead and let your imagination run riot. We believe no two weddings should ever be the same.

Here, amid 30 acres of picturesque parkland, we have room to accommodate even the most intimate or extravagant plans. There are three entirely separate venues, the largest capable of accommodating 200, so you’re free to choose between the historic and the modern. You can take exclusive use of any of the three, making your day entirely personal to you and your guests.

Outside, the grounds offer wonderful views across the Chess Valley, the perfect spot for drinks, canapés, not to mention those soon-to-be cherished wedding photos.

The memories needn’t end with the last dance. As the party winds down, retire to your luxurious bedroom and recline in style. In the morning, enjoy a Champagne breakfast in bed while you take in the views across the peaceful Chiltern countryside. Where better to start your married life together?

With 197 luxury en-suite rooms, your guests can be sure of completing their day at Latimer Place in classic style, with no shortage of mod cons and free high-speed internet access for all. There are also 25 rooms in the Manor House, many of which have their own charming historic features as well as commanding countryside views.

After a long lie-in, meet up and re-live those moments over our breakfast of local bacon and sausages, free-range eggs and freshly-ground coffee. Guests are then welcome to blow away any fuzziness in the indoor pool, mini-gym, spa bath or sauna or step outside and explore the grounds.
