About Milton Hill House wedding venue

With its perfect Georgian proportions, tall white facade and large columns, Milton Hill House creates an air of elegance and sophistication: the perfect setting for this unique occasion.

The history of the building can be traced back to the 18th century and, over the years, it has played host to royalty, nobility and celebrity. King William III is known to have visited and, from 1912 onwards, the house was owned by Sir Mortimer Singer, a wealthy member of the Singer sewing machine family.

These days the mansion house, rooms and every detail can be tailored entirely around you. Whether it's your wedding reception, your ceremony or both, we'll make sure your day is as individual, exciting and memorable as you have always dreamed.

You no doubt have your own ideas about your special day, from the traditional to the creative and quirky. If you are looking for inspiration, we can provide plenty of suggestions, or you’re welcome to take the lead and let your imagination run riot. We believe no two weddings should ever be the same.

Following our restoration, Milton Hill House now sparkles like never before, offering a wonderful combination of the classic and the contemporary, with space, style and flexibility in mind. The Lilac Suite is ideal for an intimate gathering of up to 60 guests, alternatively the Wisteria Suite is ideal for a wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests. If you’ve always imagined an outdoor wedding then look no further than our licensed pergola. Family and friends can mingle on the lawn and watch the ceremony with a backdrop of the Italian garden.

The grounds make a beautiful setting for your photographs. While you capture the moment, we’ll host your drinks reception and keep the conversation flowing with tall Pimms or sparkling Kir Royales as your guests enjoy a string quartet – or even a steel band.

Additional details:

The memories needn't end with the last dance. As the party winds down, retire to your honeymoon suite and recline in style. Enjoy sumptuous bed linens, soft lighting, and space to relax and reminisce over the events of the day. In the morning, wake up to a sparkling Champagne breakfast in bed with farm-grown strawberries, all complemented by countryside views. Where better to start your married life together?

Type of Cuisine:

Milton Hill House is all about exceptional produce, farm-fresh ingredients and flexible options: enjoy the delicate spices of Mediterranean vegetables presented on a bed of basil linguine, or the full, fresh flavours of British seafood in a shallot vinaigrette. Finish with light yet lavish tiramisu with mascarpone or spectacular ice-cream sundaes – the possibilities are endless.
