About Hampton Court Palace wedding venue

Hampton Court Palace is simply one of the most stunning wedding venues in the country. Set amid acres of beautiful gardens, this magnificent Tudor palace is the perfect setting for your special day, whether it’s a classic white wedding or something a bit more out of the ordinary.

Trends and fashions come and go, but the timeless elegance of Hampton Court will never go out of style. Since 1514, England’s most famous kings and queens – from Henry VIII and his six wives, to William III and Mary II – have amazed their guests with the romance and spectacle of Hampton Court. Now you can do the same.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room is light, airy and spacious – just perfect for a summer wedding or an autumnal celebration. As well as being a great space for live bands and dancing, this 1920s-style orangery boasts stunning views and can be used in conjunction with our other venues, such as the Little Banqueting House or the State Apartments.

The Garden Room’s beautiful French windows open out onto a walled garden reserved exclusively for you and your guests. This private space makes an idyllic setting for drinks, games and photographs.

The Garden Room can accommodate up to 180 guests for civil ceremonies and receptions and can be used in conjunction with a multitude of other venues to tailor your day to your exact requirements.

The Little Banqueting House

Small but perfectly formed, the Little Banqueting House is one of the most picturesque spaces in Hampton Court Palace, ideal for intimate celebrations.

Set peacefully amid the palace gardens, the Little Banqueting house affords beautiful views of the Thames, as well as the splendid Tudor and Baroque architecture of the palace itself. The sumptuous interior, which includes spectacular 18th-century paintings and murals by Antonio Verrio, makes a classic backdrop for any civil ceremony, reception or dinner.

The Little Banqueting House can accommodate up to 50 guests and is licensed for civil ceremonies. It also offers a private walled garden, which can be used for drinks receptions or a marquee for after dinner dancing.

Combine with the Garden Room for a larger wedding reception after an intimate ceremony, or have a special dinner for 50 guests followed by dancing in our Undercroft for up to 220 guests.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall of Hampton Court Palace is one of the most jaw-dropping venues in the country. Originally designed as a feasting chamber for Henry VIII, it was the last medieval great hall to be constructed for the English monarchy.

With its stained-glass windows, sumptuous tapestries and magnificent hammer-beam ceiling, today the Great Hall makes a perfect venue for show-stopping ceremonies and lavish receptions.

The Great Hall can accommodate up to 220 guests, and is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 200 guests. A popular option is to have a civil ceremony and drinks reception in one of the palace’s other spaces followed by dinner in this special venue. It is available for hire in the evenings from 18.30 onwards.

The Orangery and Privy Garden

This long, graceful room was originally designed as a private greenhouse for King William III. The marble sculptures, wood panelling and classic chequerboard floor tiles belie the room’s original purpose, and today the Orangery makes a timelessly elegant venue for drinks receptions.

You’ll also have exclusive use of the glorious Privy Gardens, where you and your guests can enjoy drinks and photographs before heading inside for dinner, dancing and merrymaking until the small hours.

The Orangery can accommodate up to 250 guests. It is available for hire in the evenings from 18.30 onwards.

Venue Hire starts from £3,000 + VAT
