About Shipley Art Gallery wedding venue
The Shipley Art Gallery is now available as a wedding venue in Gateshead.
This fine example of Edwardian architecture houses a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions which would make a stunning backdrop to your celebration. You and your guests can enjoy exclusive hire of this beautiful wedding venue for your special day.
Our elegant main gallery space is licensed for wedding parties of up to 120 guests and can also accommodate 100 guests for dinner, or 200 guests for a drinks reception. The smaller side galleries are also licensed for more intimate groups of up to 16 guests and can be used as an alternative space for drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts. The adjoining Designs for Life gallery showcases over 300 objects from the Shipley's craft and design collection and makes a wonderful setting for drinks and canapes.
