Dorfold Hall is an unquestionably romantic wedding venue, available to hire exclusively, so that you and your guests, can enjoy it in complete seclusion. We offer a truly bespoke service, in the belief that each couple deserves to be able to create their own tailor-made experience for their wedding day.
With its tree-lined driveway and lake, the entrance to the Hall is memorable in itself, but then the lush gardens, Dingle and hidden dells, amongst many other features are just as captivating. Not to mention the uninterrupted views offering themselves as far as the eye can see from the South lawn.
The gardens have often been described as “reminiscent of (Burnett’s) The Secret Garden”.
Our Coach House offers rustic charm for civil ceremonies and drinks receptions alike. Its large ancient oak doors opening up into the shade offered by a 1000-year old tree.
We can offer accommodation for 10 guests inside the Hall.
The Bridal Suite, designed for King James I, with high ceilings, beautiful plasterwork, wood paneling, magnificent views and an enormous dressing room will not disappoint. Whilst, the four other bedrooms each offer the greatest of luxury, each in their own individual style.

FROM THE SOUTH
From the M6 (we are 15 mins away), leave the motorway at junction 16 and follow the A500 to Nantwich. Follow this road continuing straight over the next 3 roundabouts signposted A500/A51 Chester. At the 4th roundabout, turn right, taking the 3rd exit, still signposted A500/A51 Chester. Continue straight over the next 3 roundabouts. This should lead to a set of traffic lights, at which point you turn left into the village of Acton. Continue on this road through Acton, past a sweeping left-hand bend, whereupon the entrance to the driveway is on the right.
FROM THE NORTH
Leave the M6 at junction 18. Follow signs for Middlewich on the A54 and then take the A530 for Nantwich. Follow this road for 3 miles, passing Leighton Hospital. Continue on this road until you come to a string of roundabouts. Follow directions for Chester/Wrexham for 3 roundabouts, at which point you should reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left into the village of Acton. Continue on this road through Acton, past a sweeping left-hand bend, whereupon the entrance to the driveway is on the right.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FROM THE NORTH
Take the M56, then at junction 10, take A49 exit to Northwich/Warrington. At the Stretton roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Tarporley road/A49, then take the second exit at the next two roundabouts which then takes you onto the A51. Continue on the A51 for 6.5miles, straight past a large intersection, the A51 becomes the B5341/Chester road. You will drive through Acton, past a sweeping left-hand bend, whereupon the entrance to the driveway is on the right.
The closest station is Crewe Station. The taxi drive is about 10-15 minutes thereafter.
